THE VALUES OF CAMPUS MOVEMENT SEMO
the 8 pillars of
our ministry

the glory of god
1
God’s glory is the center of everything we do. We are a ministry committed to honoring Him — not just in what we build, but in who we are. We want to be a ministry of people who are holy and humble. We pursue holiness because He is holy. We walk in humility because He humbled Himself for us. Christlikeness is the standard we hold ourselves to, and His glory is always the aim.
Philippians 1:20-21 - "It is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain."
2
god's word
Scripture is infallible, sufficient, and authoritative. We are committed to the faithful proclamation of God's Word — taught clearly and preached convictionally. We do not soften it, add to it, or drift from it. We stand on it and let it speak for itself.
2 Timothy 3:16 - "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness…"
3
the local church
The church is both the means and the ends of our mission. We submit to its leadership, invest in its health, and measure our success by the faithful, mature church members we help raise up. The local church is not just a partner to our ministry — it is the point of it.
Ephesians 1:22-23 - "And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all."
4
prayer
We do not operate in our own strength. We believe God accomplishes what we cannot, and so we come to Him desperately, dependently, and expectantly — trusting that He answers in ways far beyond what we could ask or imagine.
Ephesians 3:20 - "Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us."
5
building belonging
We desire to cultivate a community that is marked by genuine love and deep connection. Our ministry is built on hospitality — creating spaces that are momentous, memorable, and meaningful that people are drawn to. Building belonging gives us greater influence & opportunity to preach Christ and see lives transformed.

1 Thessalonians 2:8 - “So, being affectionately desirous of you, we were ready to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own selves, because you had become very dear to us.”
6
reaching the lost
Reaching the lost is our main priority on the college campus. We work hard, think strategically, and plan intentionally to get the gospel to people who need it. Nothing in our ministry exists apart from that mission. Reaching lost people is not something we do on the side — it is the reason we show up to work every day.
Matthew 9:36-38 - "When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, 'The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.'"
7
life-on-life discipleship
We are not just making converts — we are making disciples who make disciples. We invest in people personally and walk with them closely. We pass on what we have received and send people out to do the same, trusting that faithful investment in one life can multiply into something far beyond what we could ever build alone.
2 Timothy 2:2 - "And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also."
8
developing leaders
We desire to develop the next generation of leaders who will one day be church members, spouses, parents, workers, pastors, and missionaries. By the power of the Spirit, we seek to build lifetime laborers who will serve Christ and His church for the rest of their lives.
Colossians 1:28-29 - "Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ. For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within me."
